New features in What’s on Art

Pin

As we mentioned in our previous post, during this year in What's on Art we have decided to develop even more our interaction systems. That's why we have come with new features.

Viewers can now check and rate the artworks uploaded by our subscribed users. In this way, Art Lounge is becoming a virtual gallery or art space, where artists can upload their works and share them with thousand of viewers a month. If you want to see the work of any of our users, you just have to click on his avatar or name and you will be lead to his profile page. For example this is my profile page. Still have to upload more photos, but take it just as an example. You can see there is a profile book and links to my other contacts.

If you are an artist and you are looking for a space to show your work, this is your place. Just register and set your profile as you will!

A Video-gallery system will be soon available also in the profile page!

Special works of our users are also presented in our Show Room. This exhibitions are announced on time and use to have plenty of visits! We are even talking with several virtual galleries in order to create a space where you, as an artist can sell your work, or as a collector or gallerist, can buy and meet new artists. If you want to exhibit in our Show Room, just contact us!

The forum is the place to give your opinion. Interesting leads are already open about art in Belgium and general. If you want to create a discussion, just start the conversation!

We have already created a cultural agenda filled with the RSS feeds of the main cultural agendas in Belgium.  With this system you can see all from just one page, becoming a good way of been up to date of what is going on about art in Belgium.

We are still trying to develop our Art Map of Belgium and Belgian Artists Wiki. Surelly there are still plenty of interesting art places, artists, and galleries that are not marked there. If you know any, please feel free to insert it, it is very easy!

Finally, we are looking for collaborators to write directelly here on the blog. If you are passioned about art, in Belgium particullary, and want to have a place to give your opinion, to make your reviews, just contact us!

By the way, thanks to all for the support we received for our first anniversary!!! We try to make this place YOUR PLACE!!!

    Hi, great!
I see things are growing here. I am just waiting to see how this market will work. How will people be able to buy artworks throug the site? Are you going to use paypal system?
I also see that the users are not updating their avatars, why?
About the calendar, I do not know how it works… it is a bit empty no?

Eh! Does anybody here know where I can buy oil reproductions of famous Flemish painters like Bruegel? It is for a present.
    Thanks!
