Sozyone Million González at A.L.I.C.E.



A.L.I.C.E. presents Sozyone Million González, "NEW WORKS BY THE GRISBI'S GUARD OF SANTA MAGNETICA". The ‘Grisbi’ is French slang for ‘money’, and preferably the ‘loot’ you get from a mischievous hit.

Once again, Sozyone Million González is inspired by the romantic imagery of the gentleman thief. Every piece of work evokes the blazon of some mysterious brotherhood. A universe filled with anti-heroes, individualists and amateurs of niceties, an opportunity for the artist to explore our souls and darkest fantasies with style.

The works of Sozyone Million González cannot be reduced to a simple outline. Painter, sculptor, photographer, artist/composer, stylist, creative director, gallery owner… It’s tough for the critics to recognize that he excels in every aspect of his work(s); not only because the man is in a hurry and avoids publicity, but also because a complexity like this one deserves a little more research on the subject.

With a new style, signature of this exhibition, the ‘Grisbi’ is the future hallmark for Sozyone Million Gonzalez’ work and a stepping-stone in the artist’s career; A style that a famous brand will endorse to launch its European advertising campaign in 2008.

Beginning of 2008 will also be the occasion to discover Sozyone Million González new solo album ‘El Hijo De La Gran Puta’, a Spanish hip hop album featuring guests like De Puta Madre, DJ Grazzhoppa, Kaer El Hombre Lobo, Omni & Squeeque Ezie.

During the opening, Julien De Smedt will present his new monography "FROM PIXL TO XL", published by DD (cover art by Sozyone Million González).
